My trades are now all very low risk and I've just plain stopped taking just trades that after the fact I looked at and thought "What the hell were you looking at?" Trying to out guess the market. I learned that I was able to focus on the trade without being distracted by a lot of indicators. The trading rules are few but important. I have practiced, paper day trading them to gain a trust in the system and my ability to execute the trade. Since then I have day traded stocks, using 5min and 1min charts and the first trading strategy, (my favorite), in my real account. My first seven trades produced 5 winners 1 break even and 1 loser. Christopher Hi Linda, As an experienced trader of some 8 yrs I was very surprised to find a system that was so simple in its make up but so devastating in its ability to pick out winning trades. Although the system only produces 1-6 signals a day the strike rate is very high with the trade often moving in your direction within minutes. For me personally who is used to a scalping system producing 20-30 signals a day this system has some great advantages. Because it only produces a max of 5 or 6 signals a day there is an air of calm in my trading which is welcomed 1. My draw downs are minimal, over the time I have used the system my 1point stop has only been hit once at all other times the losses are between 1 and 9 ticks ..giving me a risk reward of just over 2;1 which is very unusual to find in a day trading system. 4. I now have the ability to sit out chop and just watch it go by, this system will only pick out signals once the market has established itself into a new trend. Over all the results are impressive and encouraging with a high win rate and low draw downs. The number of signals given is not large, but I see this as an advantage.
